Without clear visual cues to judge distance or anticipate the wall, even most skilled swimmers face difficulties. This is where tappers play a significant role. Tappers are the people who guide swimmers. Their name comes from the motion they make by tapping on the head and back of swimmers to guide them when to turn. Their role is subtle yet indispensable, combining timing, communication and trust in a way that is rarely visible but deeply felt in water.
